For so long I was obsessed with the idea of going, For so long I was obsessed with the idea of going, being Elsewhere. Home felt small and I couldn't shake the idea that more happiness could be just a plane ride away--and it was! But I learned another lesson: that it doesn't have to be either/or, that happiness comes in so many flavors and shapes and textures, and that whether it's the one you build for yourself or the one you come from, there really is no place like home. 🌲🌊🗻

Happy Halloween from Salem! 🍂Get to your train Happy Halloween from Salem! 🍂Get to your train early--we barely made ours but it was standing room only for the 40ish minute commute 🍂Book ahead for any tours/museums that you can, because the lines are craaaaazy 🍂Consider visiting outside of October or on a weekday--this is peak season and they seem to have record-breaking numbers every year! The town is extra enjoyable when you're not pressed in a crowd. 🍂Stop by @meltsalem for a scoop or two! Their seasonal flavors are so fun! (Sweet cornbread and bourbon maple, yummm) Is Salem on your list?
