Hungary shares a border with the Ukraine, and many Hungarians are already mobilizing to help refugees that may come this way.
Presidents and dictators are making decisions that affect the rest of the world, and perhaps you feel powerless just as I do. But we do have power over our own attitudes, actions, and whatever small sphere we can control.
So if you’re looking for a way to aid the people of Ukraine and you reside in Hungary, here is a list of resources I have found so far. As always, there may be some who wish to profit off of crisis and confusion, so use your judgement. But in the end, I believe there are overwhelmingly more people who wish to give than to take. I’ll update as I find more!

Nyugati Square and Railway Station collection points: The needed items shift from day to day. If you’re able, drop by beforehand and ask what they’re lacking that day. There’s a Spar grocery store and a mall right there, so you could make more targeted donations.
Also, if you have free time and data to spare, some volunteers come to share their data so arriving people can connect with FB groups, loved ones, or buy plane/train tickets to further destinations.

If you’re able, check with donation points to see what type of donation is most keenly needed at the time.
