Sziasztok, darlings!
Any thrift shopper who finds his or her way to Budapest won’t be able to resist the call of Ludovika Vintage for long.Located a quick trot from Deák Ferenc Ter metro (and around the corner from my #1 cafe, My Little Melbourne), Ludovika’s cheeky and cheerful window displays beckon you into an afternoon of fashion time travel.
Over the threshold, you can expect a world of rose-scented texture, crushed velvet, and raised embroidery. All the pieces are curated by the owners’ experienced eye, so you can expect details and quirk around every corner.
I couldn’t pass up this sparkling, crushed velvet choker–$15
Although there’s a range of prices, the amount of designer labels and the vintage nature of the items put most of them out of my “casual spending” price range. But I know that if I want to treat myself to a gem of fashion, I need look no further than the treasure chest that is Ludovika Vintage. I think they have an especially fun jewelry collection.
Happy treasure hunting!
Xx Denae
