It’s summer in Budapest which means…daytime party season is here! Don’t you just love the concept? Spend the day listening to music, dancing with your friends, and getting a tan…and then be home in time to still get a good night’s sleep. Beautiful.
Budapest may be more famous for its music festivals (like Sziget), but I’m forever grateful that my friends introduced me to the daytime party scene. What a perfect way to soak up the Budapest summer, right? This time in particular, we checked out Santsat.
Calling itself a “Journeying Daytime Music Festival”, Santsat holds its events in different venues every time. However, when I found out that this edition would be held at an observatory…let me tell you that I bought my ticket at the speed of light.

I’ve been to the observatory for an event before, and I love seeing how different organizers manage to transform the space. And yes, of course the music was so good–but the telescope? Come on, what a bonus. Observatory workers were onsite to give us a little background on what we were seeing. At that time of day, we were able to look at Sirius (as in, the star, not Sirius Black, unfortunately).

All in all, there was such good energy there. Tickets sell out quickly, so I hope you can snag one before the Budapest daytime party season ends.
Enjoy!
