I had a lot of these 'pinch-me' moments while on m I had a lot of these 'pinch-me' moments while on my group ski trip with @hofnarexperience (if you saw me crying tears of joy on a mountaintop in the French Alps, no you didn't!). ⭐Not only because I finally managed to get off a ski lift without face planting (hallelujah), but also because simply being there was a dream come true. Even though I grew up in Washington, the distance and finances of skiing made it basically inaccessible. I've said it before--this isn't a classic 'budget travel' account, but I do believe in budgeting for the travel experiences that'll bring you joy! 🇩🇰Visiting Copenhagen at Christmas?🇩🇰 🇩🇰Visiting Copenhagen at Christmas?🇩🇰 I'll always suggest a city break to Copenhagen (and not just because I spent a magical semester here during college with DIS). But around Christmas, it's extra special. Here's a 5-step itinerary! ❄️1. Visit the Christmas markets These are some of my favorite Christmas markets in Europe. Such a warm and rosy glow! Some of the major ones are: -Tivoli Gardens Christmas Market -Nyhavn Christmas Market -Højbro Plads Christmas Market -Kongens Nytorv Christmas Market -Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market ❄️2. Get a sweet treat You must have a Danish in Denmark Skt Peter's bakery is supreme! Tucked on a back street, you can try all the Danish classics here at the bakery that's been around since 1652! ❄️3. Visit the Glyptotek Museum Bonus trivia--this is my favorite museum in the world😍 There's an amazing collection of paintings and sculptures--not to mention the gorgeous Winter garden. This is the perfect place to keep warm for an afternoon. ❄️4. Go gift shopping The Danes know how to decorate for Christmas! Stop by @notredamecph for a souvenir to take home. ❄️5. Try a traditional Danish Christmas dinner This meal is so warm and comforting, with Flæskesteg (crackling pork) front and center. Nothing measures up to my host mom's,but the cute and cozy bistro @dinabarkafe made a beautiful meal as well! Bonus: The Danes have a special beer that only comes out around Christmas. I went on this group ski trip with strangers to we I went on this group ski trip with strangers to well...ski. (And live out an alpine fantasy!🗻🚡). The week of meeting new people, taking proper ski lessons, and exploring Morzine was a dreeeeeam...Would go back just for the fondue, tbh!
