Seeing as I’ll be out of town next weekend, I tried to enjoy some old and new favorites of this city.
Perhaps most notably, my foodie friend and fellow English teacher, Alison, introduced me to delicious Mexican food in Europe DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MEANINGFUL THIS IS? Although, I suppose Iguana’s tasty cuisine isn’t much of a secret–we barely got a spot without having made a reservation. The quesadilla and I had a joyful reunion.
Once again, I spent an inordinate amount of time in front of a cappuccino but this time for a noble cause…Christmas cards! It only took me 23 years to stop relying on the season’s greetings of my mother and to take responsibility for my own. Here’s hoping I put on enough stamps.
Speaking of Christmas…if the snow wasn’t enough to get me in the mood, plenty of decorations have been popping up all over the city.
Well, now I’m off to shine my shoes! Santa comes this week, after all!
