Here’s a cultural twist for you: in Hungary, baby Jesus brings presents on Christmas Eve, so Santa gets a different day to shine.
The kids were practically bouncing off the walls in anticipation this December 6th, but who could blame them? After a quick meet and-greet with Santa (complete with a rousing rendition of “Santa Clause is Coming to Town”) we got to the good stuff: the goodie bags.
Santa’s very thoughtful with bringing chocolate and nuts and little toys, and the kids’ eyes were sparkling with excitement long after they put their gifts away.
The day would have been perfectly delightful anyways…but then my coteacher turned me to show me that Santa had remembered me too.
If there was any doubt before, now I know: I’m in the Christmas spirit.
